Achievements Curriculum Integration in the Field of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability
In 1993 system of credit hours was introduced to the University. Recalculation the credit of hours of IUK for uniform hour of training (the European System of Transformation of Credits) has allowed the diploma about the formation, given out to students ESIC of IUK to be recognized in the countries of the European union (with delivery to graduates – the Certificate on an equivalence recognition to the European formation)
IUK in September, 2002 the first in Central -Asian region has signed the Magna Charta Universitatum worldwide . It means that IUK jointed to the Bologna declaration which establishes uniform all-European requirements to the organization, to higher education level, documents on university education and regulates rules of a mutual recognition of diplomas in the countries – participants of Bologna process.
Work on the introduction of distance learning technologies was held in cooperation with the Institute of Informational Technologies in education UNESCO. Focal-point was organized together with the Institute and an analytical report was prepared on "Open Distance Learning Knowledge Base for Decision-Makers: Experience of Kyrgyzstan".
In IUK are functioned the European Resource Center (together with University Arnhem (the Netherlands)), the American resource Center (together with university Michigan (the USA)), Educational and Informational resource centre (together with University Bern (Switzerland)), Regional academy CISCO of the International Telecommunication Union.
Together with Indira Gandhi Open University (India) is created Kyrgyz-Indian Institute of Distance Education. Graduates will receive diplomas of Kyrgyz Republic and India. In 2010 the Kyrgyz -American Center of Distance Education (Bishkek - New York) was opened.
Jointly with Modern Humanitarian University (Moscow), under the auspices of the Interstate Committee on Knowledge Promotion and Adult Education of the CIS (Community of Independent States), organized and functioned the Kirghiz-Russian Institute of Distance Education,
Jointly with Islamic Virtual University(under the supervision of Federation of universities of the Islamic world) is created Arabian Distance Education Center in June, 2011.
IUK conducts training of students, creates and realizes educational programs, design curriculum and forms libraries.
University is the ideologist of holding of the International Year of Mountains and Bishkek Global Mountain Summit (2002), actively engage in Sustainable Mountain Development. The International Mountain Institute and UNESCO department “Sustainable Mountain Development” operates under the university.
