PRME Global
November 14th – 15th 2008, Madrid IE Business School Madrid Spain Each year, the number of MBA students and professionals who engage in social and environmental issues, be it through corporate social responsibility, starting their own social enterprises or through business endeavours in the environmental arena, grows exponentially. Led by a diverse range of committed business people willing to apply their intelligence and training towards more than just the economic bottom line, this new breed of leaders tackle social issues head on while incorporating solutions to society's problems into their business plans and operations. From social entrepreneurs who design novel business ideas to tackle old problems, to trendsetters who work inside today's mature companies as advocates of policies that take into account the whole range of stake holders and the environment, this growing generation of visionaries continues to lead by example, raising awareness of social issues while profoundly changing the face of business and the world in which we live. These unique individuals have one mission: that of making a lasting social impact. This 3rd edition of the Forum, which this year will be sponsored by Endesa among others, will host conferences and workshops with speakers from the Business and Academic worlds, with experience and knowledge in the different tracks and from all around the world. Last year we had the privilege of greeting Mr. José María Figueres, former president of Costa Rica, as one of the keynote speakers. This year we will welcome Mr. Jeremy Legget, chairman of Solar Century and climate change specialist, among other specialists in different fields.
