Beyond traditional corporate governance, achieving sustainability through climate action is a priority. How can corporate governance and reporting obligations increase understanding of the changing scene and new challenges in order to better foster the long-term existence of companies? How do we ensure that companies do not ‘superficially’ go green but embed new strategic business models entailing the ESG mindset?
This session aims to accelerate climate leadership in the boardroom and explore how sustainable corporate governance can help foster sustainability and long-term value creation. Key topics include the roles of audit committees and internal audits, sustainability reporting, and supply chain due diligence in strengthening board governance to accelerate ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) journeys and add societal and business value. The roundtable will talk about the importance of having an ESG strategy at the board level with integration at the management level, as well as how this is being applied to family businesses.
