Sustainability Management Simulation: Net Zero

This webinar is organized by PRME Working Group on Climate Change and Environment and hosted by Dr. Tim Rogmans.

Participants will get a chance to experience the "Sustainability Management Simulation: Net Zero", in which learners play the role of the General Manager of a 500-room, 4-star city-center hotel with the goal reducing its emissions by 50% over 7 years and stay within a carbon budget, while at the same time optimizing financial performance.

By playing the simulation, participants experience that making significant reductions in emissions is feasible and does not need to go at the expense of business performance. Participants also learn to evaluate and prioritize potential initiatives that can help to reduce emissions, to interpret corporate emissions data and to localize and adapt emissions reduction strategies according to varying conditions.

"Net Zero" is published by Harvard Business Publishing and has won the gold medal at the 2022 Serious Play Awards. Tim Rogmans is the author of the simulation.
