PRME advances interdisciplinary, sustainability-focused research through its Working Groups, which are central to driving innovation and knowledge-sharing. These collaborative networks unite academic and corporate leaders to explore emerging issues, generate insightful research, and create practical resources. By fostering cross-sector partnerships, Working Groups play a vital role in shaping ethical leadership and promoting sustainable business practices.
From 2022 to 2024, the PRME World Tour Research Paper Development Programme supported early- and mid-career scholars in publishing research, reinforcing the field’s commitment to timely insights on responsible management and sustainable development. It also aimed to professionalize responsible management research by amplifying diverse voices and addressing concerns often excluded from top journals.
The Programme provided mentorship and developmental feedback in a workshop format, focusing on peer review success rather than paper presentations. It prioritized both empirical and conceptual work from PRME communities, particularly those publishing in local or non-English journals with limited international recognition.
The PRME World Tour Organizing Committee facilitated lectures and debates on research and publication processes at the request of PRME Chapters, covering topics such as research question development, article design, and responding to reviews. The initiative emphasized inclusivity across geography, race, ethnicity, and gender.
PRME Regional Chapters hosted research paper development workshops, invited by the PRME Secretariat and co-organized with the PRME World Tour Organizing Committee. Clusters of 2-3 smaller Chapters could apply to co-host, while larger Chapters could apply to host independently.
The Programme was made possible through partnerships with Business & Society and the Journal of Business Ethics. Chaired by a former Business & Society co-editor, the Organizing Committee included senior scholars from both journals with global research expertise. Each workshop featured regional PRME representatives and engaged senior scholars and mentors from other relevant journals.
