Save the Date: 2nd PRME Champions Meeting and GRLI AGM

REGISTER ONLINE (only for PRME Champions)

We are pleased to announce that the 2nd PRME Champions Meeting of the 2016/17 cycle will be hosted on 16 October by Kemmy Business School, University of Limerick in Ireland to coordinate with the GRLI’s 2016 All Gathering Momentum event (17-19 October). The meeting will build on the discussions, deliverables and goals set at the first PRME Champions Meeting in New York which was hosted by Fordham University on 24 June.

The purpose of this second face-to-face meeting is to check the progress of the projects and clusters that emerged from the first meeting in New York. In particular, participants will engage in hand-on work and further re-confirm and agree on the set deliverables, timelines, methods and activities necessary for successfully carrying out the projects.

Following project-specific check-ins throughout the summer and a group webinar in September, the meeting in Limerick will provide the opportunity for:

  • Detailed discussion of the deliverables for each project/cluster with specific focus on expected outcome and impact for the PRME community and relevant stakeholders
  • Agreement on specific roles and responsibilities within the different sub-groups
  • Discussion and planning of timelines and activities for 2017
  • Constructive input from a handful of GRLI partners that have been invited to provide feedback on specific Champion initiatives
  • Interaction and networking with representatives of both PRME Champions and GRLI Partners

Registration for the 2nd PRME Champions Meeting is now open for PRME Champion representatives only, please register here. A more detailed agenda of the meeting will be available in early September. If you have any questions please contact Nikolay Ivanov at ivanov@unglobalcompact.org

GRLI All Momentum Gathering (AGM) Event, 17-19 October

The GRLI's 2016 AGM explores the theme “Common Good, Common Ground” using the idea of place as a unifying and dividing concept. Participants are invited to consider ideas of belonging – What does it mean to belong to a place? What does it mean to be excluded? In what sense can a place belong to a particular group of people? What does that tell us about public and private good? In the context of a global crisis of displacement, who owns the earth, and what it contains?

The purpose of the GRLI AGM is to facilitate an environment in which Partners, Associates and invited guests may:

  • Connect and reconnect with each other, the vision and mission of the GRLI and the activities which support and promote Globally Responsible Leadership
  • Influence, shape and learn from the contexts in which we operate and in which we develop and practice being globally responsible
  • Inform, update and engage in key activities and opportunities to catalyse Global Responsibility

PRME Champions are invited to take part in the AGM on 17-19 October which will also offer project-specific meetings for the sub-groups to further work on their projects. For more information on the programme and registration for the AGM as well as travel and accommodation options, please visit the GRLI AGM Event page here.
