We are pleased to announce that the 3rd PRME Chapter Meeting Iberian will be hosted on 1-2 February 2016 by Porto Business School, Portugal.
The meeting will build on the achievements and goals set at the 1st PRME Chapter Meeting Iberian and 2nd PRME Chapter Meeting Iberian hosted by ESADE and Comillas Pontifical University, respectively, to further embed sustainability and corporate responsibility within management-related education.
The aim of the 3rd PRME Chapter Meeting Iberian is to introduce and reflect on the recently launched Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) brought about by the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. These goals are more comprehensive, detailed, and ambitious than the Millenium Development Goals created in 2000. In this context, the role of managers as change agents is decisive due to the potential impact they have within their organisations, the broader community, and the value chains and markets in which they operate. In fact, the new agenda for 2030 will depend not only on policies determined at the highest level, but also on strong commitments by institutions and companies. Additionally, its successful achievement will depend on a set of new attitudes and values at the individual and collective level including multistakeholder partnerships. Management schools, therefore, have the mission to train managers and support the development of organisations to face the challenges of implementation. This meeting will promote open reflection on how the Iberian region can contribute to the UN Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development and will count on speakers and participants from all over the business and academic worlds. On the same note, the meeting will discuss the establishment of the emerging PRME Chapter Iberian.
After the end of the meeting, there may be an opportunity to attend an informal session with one of the speakers of the ‘PBS Grand Conference’ that will take place on the following day (Feb 2nd), together with the rest of the PBS community.
Day 2 of the meeting will take place at Porto Business School Grand Conference at Casa de Musica. The theme of this meeting is "Leading for Tomorrow and Beyond" and will feature the following speakers:

Temos o prazer de anunciar que o 3º Encontro do PRME Capítulo Ibérico terá lugar nos próximos dias 1 e 2 de fevereiro de 2016, na Porto Business School, no Porto, em Portugal.
O encontro terá como ponto de partida as concretizações e objetivos estabelecidos no 1º Encontro do PRME Capítulo Ibérico e no 2º Encontro do PRME Capítulo Ibérico, que tiveram lugar na ESADE e na Universidade Pontifícia de Comillas, respetivamente, no sentido de incorporar a sustentabilidade e a responsabilidade corporativa na educação em gestão.
O objetivo do 3º Encontro do PRME Capítulo Ibérico é apresentar e reflectir sobre os “Objetivos de Desenvolvimento Sustentável” (ODS) recentemente estabelecidos e divulgados no âmbito da Agenda 2030 das Nações Unidas para o Desenvolvimento Sustentável. Estes objetivos são significativamente mais abrangentes, detalhados e ambiciosos que os “Objetivos de Desenvolvimento do Milénio” criados no ano 2000. Neste contexto, o papel dos gestores como agentes de mudança é decisivo, pelo potencial impacto que têm no seio das suas organizações, na comunidade alargada, e nas cadeias de valor e mercados em que atuam. De facto, a nova agenda para 2030 dependerá não apenas de políticas determinadas ao mais alto nível, mas também de fortes compromissos por parte de instituições e empresas. Além disso, o sucesso desta agenda dependerá de um conjunto de novas atitudes e valores a nível individual e colectivo, e colaboração a diversos níveis. As escolas de gestão têm, por conseguinte, esta missão de formar os gestores e apoiar o desenvolvimento das organizações, preparando-as para os desafios da implementação.
Este encontro irá promover uma reflexão aberta sobre como a região Ibérica pode contribuir para a Agenda 2030 das Nações Unidas para o Desenvolvimento Sustentável e irá contar com oradores e participantes dos mundos académico e empresarial. Por outro lado, o encontro incluirá um momento para a discussão sobre o estabelecimento formal do PRME Capítulo Ibérico.
Após o encerramento do encontro (final do primeiro dia), poderá haver a possibilidade de os participantes se juntarem ao resto da comunidade da PBS, para uma sessão informal com um dos oradores da “PBS Grand Conference”, a ter lugar no dia seguinte (2 de fevereiro).
O 2º dia (opcional) terá lugar na Casa da Música, onde decorre a “PBS Grand Conference”, cujo tema será “Leading for Tomorrow and Beyond” e incluirá os seguintes oradores:
