VU Business School has a long-standing tradition of addressing issues of inequity, ethics, social responsibility and sustainability in teaching, research and partnerships and are committed to make a difference to the communities we serve. Our courses are contemporary, industry‐immersed, digitally‐rich program – infused with sustainability and ‘protecting country’ themes. We enrich the employability and entrepreneurial skills of our students through curriculum and inspire them to focus on their career throughout their course, supported via real business experiences, guaranteed internships/placements, and learning environments designed to foster collaboration and problem solving. Central to this has been the development of the Block Model where studnets study units sequential one unit at a time. The model is designed around the learning needs of VU’s culturally diverse student population where it fosters a sense of community around the idea that deep, active learning happens when students work with, and help, each other in a collaborative, engaging environment where they feel their voices are heard.
