Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs) Annual Event: Unlimited Potential – Business Partners for Gender Equality

We are pleased to annouce the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs) Annual Event: Unlimited Potential—Business Partners for Gender Equality, will be held on 10-11 March 2015 at United Nations Headquarters in New York City.

In 2015, a number of global milestones – the twentieth anniversary of the Beijing Platform for Action (PfA), the Post-2015 Development Agenda and anticipated Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) – provide a unique opportunity to ensure that the business community commits, contributes and is a key partner to achieving gender equality.

The Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs) Annual Event will bring together leaders from business, Government, the UN and civil society to reflect on the implications of the PfA and the re-visioned SDGs, and project an action agenda driven by the WEPs business champions and constituency. The event will also focus on concrete steps and actions that business can take to advance gender equality in the workplace, marketplace and community.

Please visit the 2015 WEPs Annual Event website pages for an updated agenda and more information on the event. Participation is by invitation only. If you would like to request an invitation, please contact the WEPs team at wepsevents@unglobalcompact.org.
